You saw this place... it was from our trip with Wes to Boone/Blowing Rock area (July 2011) at that special craft place we went with the gorgeous views and horses. This was just the slate walking path near the house. It was very mosaic-y to me at the time as well, and I was recently browsing my photos looking for some New Year inspiration!
